We are ALL in this Together! #CollaborationOverCompetition
I hope this post finds you safe and well. Covid-19 has impacted all of us, and my heart goes out to all of you. For those lucky enough to still have jobs, I'm sure that you're spending the bulk of your time in crisis management. For me, that has meant canceling, postponing, and re-tooling marketing campaigns. Unfortunately, much of the focus to date has been on canceling. Now that most of that triage is complete, some of us can shift gears and contemplate potential opportunities that can serve our customers, boost the economy, and protect our brands. In good times, we all compete. We keep our “good” ideas close to the vest. We are no longer in that arena. Many of us are struggling to survive. We are all trying to make the best of things. We are all in this together. Now is the time for #CollaborationOverCompetition. #WeAreInThisTogether.
How Can We Promote #CollaborationOverCompetition and Help Each Other?
First off, we can continue to contribute and share ideas that could be beneficial for all. That's why we have communities and networks. I'm working on setting up a group on LinkedIn for those who are interested. Let me know if you are interested, and I will pass or post that information once it's ready. Many of us have skills and resources that others do not. If you are not an expert in D2C marketing, looking for a second opinion, or would like to explore potential opportunities in detail, of course, I'd love to hear from you. But the "pie," the "opportunity" is much larger than that. If your business is still in operation and has some budget, but lacking staffing for a particular need, there is a whole community of “gig” creatives, agencies and other marketing professionals that can quickly pivot their experience to assist. As it relates to direct mail, many printers and supporting businesses do have the capacity and would love to take on any additional work.
As #CollaborationOverCompetition relates to DTC marketing, I have a few more ideas to throw your way as it pertains to today's post, and I will attempt to provide those to you in just a bit. Let's continue to support each other, stay positive, share ideas, and be #Ameri-CAN.
Please be safe and well. Reach out to me if you need some help. No strings attached!
